Leading the Brookwood High community
Mrs. Kellie Hubbard, Principal
Hello! My name is Kellie Hubbard and I am thrilled to be the Principal at Brookwood High School. My passion for high school students began in 2012 while I was interning at BHS through the Instructional Leadership program. Although my teaching experience had only been at the elementary level, I knew that I belonged in the high school environment. In 2018, I was blessed to be appointed the Assistant Principal at BHS. Then, in September 2021, my dream of being a high school principal came true.
I love being the principal at Brookwood High School! You will not find another person who loves this school and community more than myself. I will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that every decision that is made prepares our students to thrive in life beyond Brookwood High School.
I am a native of Tuscaloosa and a product of the Tuscaloosa County School System. I obtained both my B.S. and M.A. in Special Education and a Masters Certification in Instructional Leadership, all from the University of Alabama. I have devoted all of my 20 years of experience to serving the students of the Brookwood, Vance, Coaling, and Lakeview communities.
My husband and I, along with our 2 daughters live in Tuscaloosa County. My children attend the schools in the Brookwood cluster. I love being with family and friends, going to the beach, and exercising.
Go Panthers!
